[RC] 100 mile horse stats - Michael Maul

Hopefully this will answer Angie's question about horses and 100s.

The data was provided by Bob Morris from the AERC database and formatted/displayed by me. It's for the 1996-2004 ride seasons - 9 years. It's completions only.

The chart is at

There's about 2250 equines that have completed at least one 100 since Dec 1995.

870 equines have done only one 100
445 equines have done only two 100s
260 equines have done only three 100s
185 equines have done only four 100s
143 equines have done only five 100s

The chart gets pretty flat about twelve 100s. It's down to 11 horses at that point.

There are some really high completion rates among the top 10 horses.

Now how does this fit the metal goals?

Mike
