[RC] More on 100 mile riders - Michael MaulIf you look athttp://www.aerc.org/100mileriders.jpg you will see a graph of 100 mile completions vs number of riders completing that number. This graph does not show starts - only completions. Some browsers will let you enlarge it by double clicking on the jpg. Given a completion ratio of about 60% - starts are about 1.7 times the numbers you see in the graphs at least in general. This may not apply well to the riders in the high numbers of rides. You can see that in the past 9 years - there are a total of roughly 1700 riders who have completed at least one 100 mile ride. There are 3 that have completed more than 40 in this period with one at 64. About 600 of the 1700 riders completed only one 100 in the 9 years. They made have made that a goal and once achieved - didn't try again. 291 were successful twice and 197 successful three times. Note how sharply it drops off so that by the time you reach 17 completions in 9 years - there are only 7 riders completing that number in 9 years or almost 2 a year. Above 17 rides in 9 years - there are only 39 riders that did more than this. That's a pretty small number. Any other interpretations from the group on seeing this?
