Re: [RC] [RC] mud and sand and stuff - rides2far

Then I have to back
carefully in > only two spots and take a running start up the hill

I have awed many men through the years with my ability to back straight
up one time and hitch up a 2 horse. Bill used to like to peak out the
window and watch the men across the street stare when I did it. >g<
There's a reason I had to get good at it. When I was a teen my horse
trailer was parked at the barn in the winter and I had to go slightly
uphill to back up to it. If I stopped I couldn't start again. If I spun
once there was a trench and I could forget the trailer till spring. I
pulled a zillion miles with just a hitch ball on a step bumper mount. I'd
go flying back, let off the gas at the last minute, stop when I felt it
hit the tag, then go forward 4". Talk about an unreadable tag! :-)
Finally got a proper hitch about 10 years ago and I'm still not as
accurate as I was with the bumper hitch. :-)
