RE: [RC] HRM's and Increasing Intensity - Stephanie E CaldwellNo, it gives you the HR unambiguously. It doesn't tell you if you've pushed the soft tissues past the limit (but they haven't started to hurt yet), and it doesn't tell you how the horse FEELS, unless one of his feelings is pain. When Star tore her tendons we were on a 15 mile ride and she had on a HRM. Her HRs were normal, even a tad lower than normal, but she suffered a pretty major injury. Recoveries were normal. She was forward and happy, as well... Steph =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
