Re: [RC] [RC] Easy Boot Questions - Soli SorokinDepends on your horse and how well the boots fit. I often ride with two boots over shoes on the fronts, with duct tape over the clamps and wires to help prevent snags (I've had things snag on the clamp or wires and cause problems). No foam. The only time the boots come off during my regular 15-30 mile rides through Big South Fork is when he occasionally grabs the back of the boot with his hind hoof before the front hoof breaks over - and ends up ripping it right off. This happens occasionally when going uphill at a trot, and isn't the fault of the boots. I wouldn't recommend using them on one front but not the other, unless as an emergency "spare tire" situation. It does cause them to be a bit unbalanced, in my experience. ~S On 5/12/05, Ridecamp Guest <guest-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Please Reply to: Lauretta tikitiki69@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I was wondering if A. do you HAVE to use the easyfoam, or can you keep the boots on w/ vet wrap and duct tape if needed, like say for a 50? Also, B. is it bad to have the fronts w/ one foot easybooted and one w/ just a shoe? Will that throw off the horse's gait for any reason?
