Re: [RC] Wild life stories - Karen SullivanSame ride, another place, had a flock of wild turkeys pace my trotting horse for about a mile 50/100 feet off to the side of the trail. They trotted along single file, hens, toms, and big kids. Some years ago I took off bareback on Silver, my Appy/Arab mare, on my birthday, for a ride in the hills. I was cantering up a nice dirt road in the Bay Area Foothills, went around a corner and surprised a Coyote. Instead of vanishing into the brush; he started loping along the road in front of us....I increased speed and was racing the Coyote for about a quarter mile. It was so very fun and a great birthday present. Karen =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
