[RC] loin rubbing in a gaited horse - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Hi,
Soon I would like to get a start in endurance riding but I have one issue to
deal with. LOIN RUBBING!
I have been searching the archives about loin rubbing and have learned alot. I
have tried a torsion treeless saddle, specialized saddle, special pads: Dixie
Midnight, supracor, saddleright, merino wool, and the show sheen trick. When
my mare gaits, she wiggles alot under the saddle thus causing the rubbing. If
I ride her bareback, she can gait all day long and not get a sore back. But I
dont think you can ride endurance bareback, can you?
Does anyone have any other tricks up their sleeve to fix this problem? My kids
are getting older and soon I hope to join some of you on the trail. But after
10-12 miles rides, the next day she is swollen over the loins. And very ouchy
to palpate.
Thanks for any input,
Dixie
