I have to second what Karen said about the Bob Marshall saddles (at least in my case.)
It is my favorite saddle, so comfortable for me, doesn't hurt anywhere and I can ride miles, BUT: on my foxtrotter gelding, who has a high backbone, I got a couple of raised vertebrae right under my seat, even though I was using the skito, 1" thick, then a skito with shims around the backbone.  He never palpated sore in the back, but I hated the look of his spine, so I changed to a Tucker endurance with plenty of spine clearance, and no further bony prominences.  I don't think he was ever sore, but....
