RE: [RC] cheap hot water at the barn - Nancy SturmThat is a great idea! We're looking at hot water heaters, but I was going to try black buckets in the sun, too, as someone else suggested. Rowenta. Lightning fast hot water. When you can't afford your dream of running hot water in the barn, ***not to mention the heavy-duty washing machine & dryer*** you can't beat the old kettle as a cheap heat source. Toss one kettle full of boiling hot water into a large bucket of cold water & viola! perfect, warm sponging water. I use it all the time for quick hot or warm water. Hot mashes or hot chocolate in the winter. Warm, wet rags for udder cleaning & other nasty jobs year-round. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
