I may have missed this one, as I can't remember the name, but did anyone ever 
read the book about the girl who takes care of a neglected horse with a mark 
like a butterfly on his head?  She named him Farfalla (or Farfalle?) for the 
shape of the mark, and they took off into the mountains, got lost, she trusted 
the horse, etc etc...  Made me dream of how wonderful it would be to run off 
with a trusted horse into the mountains for hours
