Boyd Zontelli has a wonderful video - I watched and had visions of "endurance" riding.. He demonstrated getting on and off without a girth, and that he had to demonstrate that to the judges before he could participate.. (that is when I took up my search for an "endurance" saddle - still looking...)

His horse had a girth sore and it was the only way Boyd felt they could finish. Anyone who knows the BH trail, knows this is quite a feat.
