The tires I bought for my truck were more than that.  Unfortunately,not 
all people who sell trucks really know anything about hauling and I'd 
bet quite a bit that not all people who sell tires know anything about 
tires for trucks used to haul horses.  I love to comparison shop, so if 
I were you, I'd call some other tire stores and see what they recommend.
