RE: [RC] [RC] Purina Ultium v Kent Feeds Omegatin? - Nancy MittsI tried to cut & paste a chart I made, but it didn't format well. Hopefully you can still read it, even tho not in columns, the order is still the same. Basically Omegatin has more protein & fat than Ultium, less fiber. The Omegatin smells so good I want to eat it, the horses go crazy for it, but I don't like that it has Yucca in it.The horses are normally suspicious of anythiug but oats. I went on a quest for a feed I could add to oats they wouldn't leave in the pan. They like the Ultium okay, too, but I'd prefer it had more fat for my purpose at this time. The Empower was an expensive bust. It's like little hard dogfood kibble & it didn't go over with the horse. The birds don't even eat it. I haven't tried the Farr XN yet.
