RE: [RC] Hooves - Karen StandeferI didn't say you'd get a bigger foot. I said you can make it a C shaped in one trimming. You take the heels off and pull the toes back where they belong and you get a round hoof with the base of support under the coffin bone instead of so far forward. Feet that have been trimmed and then allowed to platter out are completely different. In addition, all these horses we're discussing (other than the ones that Tom brought up which started this discussion) have had human intervention. They're not feral and are not allowed the amount of movement that the horses in Ovnicek's studies had.
