I read the pamphlet and never got the feeling one should  be 
feeding it to non-working horses.  I got the absolute opposite
idea that it should only be feed to hard-working horses, so I am not surprised 
that horses not getting worked hard would get
cranky on it.

My feed guy said that he doesn't carry it because in order to
do so he had to take a class.  They carry other Purina products
but they wouldn't sell him Ultium because it was for a very 
specific purpose.  

However, I am finding the posts interesting.
