Re: [RC] deformed front legs-- strangest thing I've ever seen - rides2farHorses that are over at the knee tend to become worse in old age. I had a TB polo pony that was a bit over at five There used to be a photo of the horse that held the record for the highest jump (I believe) in the Guinness Book of World Records. It was so over at the knees that it looked like it was in the middle of collapsing. I had a neighbor with a horse whose leg went off more at an angle to the side from the knee down. It looked for all the world like it had broken a leg and they had just let it heal at a horrid angle. It spent a lot of time laying down. A couple of years after she died the man who owned her showed me the leg bone he'd saved from her. Turned out it was just really horrible arthritic deterioration. He was a physical therapist and found it interesting. The bad thing with her was that they bred her twice and got two of the most identical twisted legged get you ever saw. I have photos of one if somebody wants to see a horse that's pretty streight to the fetlocks but has hooves that face each other. :-P Neither is ridable and they're under 10.
