[RC] GPS Question - Ridecamp Guest

I also got a Garmin GPS for Christmas, and my husband and I have been unable to 
figure out how to work it.  My understanding is that you don't need to download 
anything for simple tracking and routing, but we are at our wit's end with the 
thing.  I'm just about ready to just return it.  Any suggestions would be much 
appreciated!
