To register a horse you have to meet these requirements no matter how artifical or real they are. In the case of the Cash clone, there is no doubt he is a purebred Arabian - but under the AHA he cannot be registered as such with them. Tells me that the AHA is an organization set up to protect the status quo of the Arabian breeders - having nothing to do with maintaining the Arabian bloodlines.I suspect it doesn't really matter, if he produces good endurance horses he will probably bring as much in stud fees as if he were registered - that is if Ms Kanavey allows any mares except her own to be bred to him.
