Re: [RC] Cloning horse - Sisu West Ranch

"....Cloning a horse is the mere beginning..."

Actually cloning, using different technology, is many thousands of years old. Every apple, grape, peach etc. you eat is the result of cloning a desirable plant. It is not called "cloning" it is called "vegative propigation" and the process is called "grafting". All of the potential problems of test tube cloning exist with this very old technology. You could limit the genetic variability of the species, allowing a new disease to wipe it out. The cheapness of clones did put out of business farms that planted fruit seeds. It does not happen in nature; therefore, it must be against "God's will"

Science is morally neutral, and has been with us since the first pre-human ape like creature banged two rocks together and made a knife. The knife he (or she) made helped him feed his family (good), but very soon someone used it to kill a rival (bad). Nothing has changed since.
