RE: [RC] BBC E-mail: Champion endurance horse cloned - Melissa AlexanderThe funny thing is... there's no guarantee the horse will be anything like the horse that was cloned. A clone is an identical twin. Identical twins generally have a lot in common -- and a lot that's absolutely not the same, including talents, skills, and frequently even looks!! And then there's the nurture part of the equation. Nature's influence is pretty much set at conception. After that it's environment and experience. This horse will, I assume, have all the best endurance-specific experiences from birth, but that still doesn't mean, in the end, he'll be one whit better than any other individual. I'd hate to think how much they paid for him! Melissa =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
