[RC] John DiPetra - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: AERC Member wildnfreehorse@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I sure appreciate John's note and the message he is trying to send Ridecamp. While he was well and extremely competitive, John DiPetra also threw a sponge at my horse's nose to interfere with a big drink during a well known 100 miler. Yes my horse stopped drinking. That wasn't all that happened. In the early days of ROC, John DiPetra had a horse pulled in a top position near the finish and only to die within a few days of the race. That was the second questionable horse loss. Hopefully those losses brought lessons learned. There is so much more and my purpose isn't to do anything but bring up the past as it was. So often we immortalize the sick or deceased. The process of dying can bring grace. I don't know the process as I haven't died. But I have handled deaths and that happens, whether earned or not. I just know that I feel for John and wish him the personal forgiveness and peace he needs at this time. I believe that supporting him at this time is a wonderful thing and I honor his treasured memories. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
