What a terribly beautiful thing that was.
I'm in the middle of a year off after 13 years in the hospital, while working with cancer patients I was reminded every day how precious life is. I think I just had one of those moments two times over-that letter and a lady just got T-boned in her mini-van right outside my house by a lady in a Lexus. I triaged until we got Fire and rescue there. She'll be OK after a stint in the hospital, but it happened in the blink of an eye.
Embrace your life-and ride your horse too.
I'm so sorry for John and his family, I wish you guys peace and comfort.
