In the past, our vets
have always cleaned the injection site with rubbing alcohol prior to
giving shots. A few years ago, I noticed that the vets stopped doing
this and just gave the injection without any prep work. I was told
that thinking now is that, if the skin is wet, it acts as a catalyst
for bacteria to enter the injection site. Question is, should I clean
the area first with alcohol or not? Thanks for any replies.
