[RC] reply to Angie - rides2farI also want to find a good mare to breed him to and get a foal. As for his boarding, he is in a paddock (w/o grass) that is about 24 x 40 feet, and has a pasture of horses about 20-25 feet from him However, she then offered to give me the horse, providing I didn't geld him. He has great conformation, breeding and tempermant, so I agreed; in addition, Good! :-) My first impression was that he was in a stall when not on line and I'm happy to see I was totally off base (as if often the case) g< I am impressed that you're willing to go through all that trouble just to have a chance at a foal, who may or may not ever be as good as he is right now...6 years and a lot of $$ down the line when you're boarding and can't just let him run the back 40 for a few years. Just seems that unless you're really planning a breeding program around a stallion it's a hard life for him and you...guess I'm glad *somebody* wants to do it or there wouldn't be any 5 year olds out there for me to buy.
