We use an inch and a half 20 gauge needle to
administer rabies vacc to a horse and have never had a problem. Rabies is a
problem here and we have been doing annual vaccs to hundreds of horses for
years. Another local vet uses a shorter needle and has many
reactions. Just food for thought.
