If I?m selling a saddle I do usually ask for 
a Money
Order or Cashier?s Check. 


OK, I have a question there. I bought a saddle off endurance.net and we
did the deal where I had to give a cashier's check to the UPS man to get
it. However, they want you to give them the check before you've looked in
the box! I had no way at all of knowing whether there was really a saddle
in there or whether it was in one piece. I did insist he watch me open it
so I had a witness if something was wrong. It just seemed like a lot of
money to risk. Is there any way to COD where  you get to inspect the
goods first? By the way, the saddle was in great shape. We've got it
looking like crap now though. I think we ride it more than they did. :-)
