I was just about to mail in an order for some cheap ($40) velcro, suede ones from Miller's, but now I hear that they might be prone to slipping down. Might as well look into it and purchase a higher quality pair that fit. Katie I have ridden in half chaps for years and years. I've had various brands at various prices. I had some really cheap ($20?) velcro ones that lasted for many years until they finally started to fall apart -- they never slipped, but I didn't particularly care for the velcro. I currently use the Shire's washable synthetic suede half chaps and have been very happy with them. They are cheap ($30) and come in colors (mine are black... I couldn't seem to commit to wearing purple all the time). They don't slip and they fit around my riding/walking boots. http://equusnow.com/product_info.php?cPath=37_45&products_id=978 This store often lists them on eBay, too, where you might get an even better price. ~Nicole * Zephyr Arabians & KattWmn Web Design * * http://www.zephyrarabians.com * * http://www.kattwmn.com * *Native Californian Newly Transplanted to the PNW* * * * You have the right to remain silent, anything * * you say can be misquoted and used against you. * =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
