RE: [RC] [RC] riding shoes - Laurie Durgin

You could solve the "coming untied" problem by replace your shoelaces :0)
I had boots that did that,a nd some of my kids shoes--it's the rounded laces that seem to do it the most. I replaced them with some plain long cotton laces. It is the slickness and the roundness that seem to cause it. Heck you could use some kind of heavy string too >g<
Better yet, I remeber those little white barrel plastic shoelace keepers thay used to have for kids shoes, bells even (so you couldn't lose those pesky toddlers >g<)

i have been buying all my shoes from land's end. I buy their hiking boots which have a little heel. they are really comfy and I can walk or ride in them. my big complaint is that they come untied all the time. They are wearing out and I'm shopping for a new pair, so followin wiht interest. The land's end boots are also not too chic for when I go to schooling shows. I've been thinking about a paddock boot or jod boot, but not sure what's comfortable for someone with really wide feet. Any women with wide feet tried the men's ariats? or do they come wide enough for women in women's sizes?
