[RC] stock trailer - Nina VasilievHi,Do what you can to borrow a steady Eddie. Even if you have to "rent" it. Check around in your area for other endurance riders, or at stables who have older steady horses who could use the entertainment of a ride in a trailer. You'll have to make this a "program" that you are working on with your horse. I bought a 3 yr old Morab who was very nervous in my 3 horse slant which has the dividers removed. After trailering her with my been-there, done-that horse several times, she has really settled down. I can now take her alone in the trailer, and even stop for lunch. She will just look around and munch on hay until I get back. No sweating, no pawing, no fuss. It will take some time. But a calm horse will teach her more, faster, and painlessly, rather than her having to figure it out on her own. Good Luck, Nina Vasiliev =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
