My experience is that any contact with electrolytes destroys zippers. I've got a $55 fanny pack that's unusable now after carrying electrolytes. The last set of half-chaps I bought have zippers, and I'll never buy another set with them. They are more trouble to put on than velcro chaps, and they take more time to put on, and that's when the zippers are clean and aren't being balky. It's no fun being a few minutes away from your out time at a vet check, there's grit in the zippers and the @&%)$ things won't zip. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
