Re: [RC] Hay Fields - rides2farHey Buddy, All I can say is I buy my hay from a fellow who also has several huge chicken houses. The hay's beautiful, but when there came a sudden shower and we had to pull the trailer into his huge machinery barn we saw this big section that was compost pile which I assume also ends up on the fields. Turns out they throw the dead chickens in there. I've seen feathers on the fields before but no carcusses. :-P The hay's gorgeous, the horses are fat & healthy so far. :-) Angie On Tue, 05 Apr 2005 01:30:59 GMT Ridecamp Guest <guest-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> writes: Please Reply to: Buddy glea6826@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Hay fields fertilized with litter from commerical chicken houses OR hay fields fertilized from commerical fertilizer such as 10-10-10-, etc. Which is the better for the horse? The hay harvested from litter from commerical chicken houses put out on hay fields or fields fertilized with commerical fertilizer??????? Do both become healthy soil or dirt fit to grow hay good enough for the HORSE? NE Georgia and parts of SC. Thx.
