Hi, Samantha.

I understand that ringbone is most painful during the formation. If that is indeed true, then I would questions the vets saying that would not be affecting him currently. My horse has some low ringbone. In the early stages it was painful. Now he is fine. However, it does not affect a joint. I'm imagine that advanced ringbone in a joint would always be painful.
