[RC] Zeke - SamanthaSandlerThank you to everyone who has e-mailed such wonderful words of support and encouragement both through ridecamp and privately. The endurance community is wonderful and I appreciate that we have such a wonderful forum to reach each other. In answer to Ed's questions, the lameness pulls have split between the left and right legs and none of them have been serious injuries (as far as I knew at the time). There did not seem to be any pattern of lameness. As a matter of fact, Zeke actually won best condition at two of his four 100 mile completions this year and obviously looked awesome trotting at the finish. When he has been pulled this year it was once in his left leg and once for his right leg, but one of those times (in Wisconsin) two vets disagreed about which leg it was. Regardless, both times he was completely sound by the time he got home. I had the vet check him out each time and there was a mention of early ringbone but the vet thought it was still a few years off as far as affecting his career. Thanks again for the support and kind words. Sam =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
