[RC] The Circle of Safety - avoiding trailer accidents - Laura Hayes

Many years ago a trucker who drove lions and tigers for the circus perfomers told us she always did a "circle of safety" before she got in her truck - every time.  We sort of joke about it, but we always do it--before we start up for the day, or even if we are just at a rest area for 10 minutes- one of us walks around the entire rig with an eye out for the hitch, the back doors, the dropdowns...  You would not believe how many times we have found a door unlatched or a bucket left out, or simply that one of the horses was urinating and we would wait a minute or two until they had their balance....

Last year on XP, my son wrecked the regulator on one of the propane tanks because he drove off without putting up the tailgate---he 'forgot' the circle of safety!!!  I'll bet he doesn't do it again!

Circle of Safety Everytime....it's like putting on your helmet...
