[RC] Easyboot Epics - LaBrake, Denise A

Hi all,
Hope you are all are well ready for the 2005 ride season. We are approaching
our very first endurance ride, (a 50)
coming up next month. Real excited we are!

Wondering if any of you have had your horse(s) experience scuffs above the
hoof in the rear of the front feet. My farrier
said it's from stepping into something. I discovered it is probably from the
frozen ruts in the pasture.

This happened to my mare and now because it's so mucky this winter/spring
they are having a hard time healing. Anytime she steps in muck or mud they
scrape and bleed.

They don't appear to bother her however, I was wondering if I should try
wearing easyboot epics because they cover that spot in the back. Do any of
you feel this will make it worse or help protect her from further injury.

The spots only bleed and re-open when I ride her. When we she is turned out
(which is full time) I have never seen them bleed.

Her pasture however, was a frozen mess before many many weeks/months and I
know that is how it happened. Particularly about 5 weeks ago when we were
frozen every night for weeks after the muck holes from their steps formed.

Any input? And do you think we should cancel our first ride because of this?
