Hi, I just got off the phone with the farm owner and he said the satallion's 
owner was over last week to sign the papers and they were being sent to me so 
that I could put down the markings and have the DAN kit sent to me. He then 
said to put transfer of ownership and then corrrected himself and said to have 
them go to him cause it would save $50 for him to sign them to me instead of 
doing it the other way. I got him in October under the agreement that he was 
registered but since I was making payments, I would get the papers later. He 
told me today on the phone that none of his 2004 foals were registered. He 
said, as I was loading him in the trailer, that he would send me the papers. 
Here is my question, if I do the transfer of ownership when I have the papers 
do I still have to send them to him? I believe they are all signed by the 
stallion's owner and the mare's owner.(He must of sold the mare with the 
agreement of a breeding because he does't own the mare....more news to me!!) 
Does this sound like I could do the transfre of ownership? I want to deduct the 
cost of registering him from what I owe him because I was TOLD he was 
registered at the time and don't want to pay extra to have this done.
