I had a great little horse that was about
that size and my husband finished a close second in a 50 miler on him. Husband's
weight and tack would have been about 195#. I rode him for many years and I am a
"solid middleweight."
well, from a guy's perspective: i think women look a lot better
with a little meat on their bones! a woman with a butt smaller than mine
just doesnt really look right to me. but hey, to each his own!
your health should be the main issue, i think. and i dont
bash vegenarians, either! i figure it leaves more lean red for cowboy
ed! i have the kind of teeth in my mouth to handle it.
now, to keep this on topic, how much weight is too much
weight? lets use a typical ayrab horse in our example. one
in peak physical condition, and lets just say 14.3 hands and 850
lbs. what should be the maximum weight that a horse like
this should carry while doing a 50 mile endurance ride?
