Re: [RC] (Dis)mounting from the Right - Marv Walker2) Mounting (and dismounting, but less so) puts a lot of pressure on one side of the horse at a time, so, if you don't want to make your horse crooked, muscle development-wise, it is only prudent to regularly switch off between mounting from the right and mounting from the left. This needs to be posted every where there are horses. In our work with horses we see the effects of one side mounting all the time. Not only does it affect the horse and the rider, it affects the saddle also. It can twist a saddle permanently out of shape over time. Marv "My heart raced when I saw the box of giant Peeps!
