I do both too. I find comp easier if I don't
have a crew. Everyone has to take care of one's own horse, no crews
allowed, and the rushing around feeling is pretty much not there. I do
ctr's, at least the first half, at an endurance pace. I fiddle and diddle
for the last half. I play the rules for each, a little bit of endurance
knowledge goes into my comp ride and a little bit of my comp knowledge goes into
my endurance riding. No matter what kind of ride I do, I try to make it
fun. If it isn't fun, why am I out there in the first place? I would
guess FUN and keeping the horse sound and happy are my two top priorities for
both. Jeanie
