Re: [RC] favorite color horse - Bette LamoreI agree, Ed I'd never seen a blood bay in the Arabian breed until I saw *Napadki. Technically he was listed as a liver chestnut but he was a maroonish color with red mane and tail-- it was breathtaking. I have his son and I am hoping he takes on his sire's color at maturation. I understand from Napadki's owner that he didn't darken up until he was older and seemed to be a normal chestnut in his youth. Wonder how common that color is in Arabs-- had NEVER seen anything close to it before and I have owned liver chestnuts-- not the same color at all.
