Re: [RC] Best first 100s - Truman PrevattThere are no easy 100's - but there are easier 100's. The OD and I expect the BH don't fall in that category for a first shot out of the box. Sands Hills would be a good one - if your horse can handle a little sand. The Carolina, a.k.a., JD's is a good first one. Lucy Hancock's ride in Oct in SC would be a good first 100. From what I have heard the Pine Tree would also make a good first 100. A few 100's then the OD or BH might be more magical since you could relax and enjoy them more.Truman Laura Hayes wrote: Patti wrote>>>>Am curious about the rides that 100 milers would consider the best first hundred? Not necessarily the easiest (tho that might help!), but the ones that are "special" or appealing to horse and rider, or magical in some way.<<<< -- “A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.” Harry S.
