RE: [RC] [RC] hauling horses, again - terry banisterIt's all in how you look at it. The Brenderup Baron (has best tack room) does cost about $14,000.But when you figure that - you can haul any size horse with it -it needs no brake maintenance -will never rust, so will never need painting, -stays coolest inside for horse (does not retain heat like metal trailers) -comes standard with torsion suspension -high in safety for horse because the frame is galvanized steel, and the composit sides are literally bulletproof, and the fiberglass roof can be removed in case of accident -it is all modular, so a fender, door, side wall, window, etc. can be replaced individually if damaged -holds its value, and can probably be sold after many years of use for near original purchase price And if you purchase a nearly new mid-size SUV for about $10,000 to $16,000 you would still have a reliable, low-mileage tow/commuter vehicle - and your TOTAL INVESTMENT WOULD STILL BE LESS THAN MANY PEOPLE PUT INTO THE TRUCK.
