[RC] UAE & Ben Laden? - rides2farDid anyone else hear the interview this evening on NPR's show "Fresh Air"? An editor for the Washington Post was telling about several times we *could* have gotten Ben Laden. One of those was during the Clinton presidency, after the bombing I think of the *African* Embassy when they'd decided Ben Laden was a great threat to America. The CIA had agents following him and they informed them that he was at a hunting camp where some prominent citizens were hunting with falcons. Spy satellites were dispatched. They got photos of a hunting camp, but also of a C-130 that belonged to the royal family of the UAE. They considered a missile attack but decided there would be too much fall-out if they happened to kill several princes from the royal family in the UAE. I didn't get to hear the rest of the interview but plan to listen to it on-line. You can find it by going to NPR.org, then going to "Fresh Air", and clicking on today's interview. Is there more than one "royal family"? Angie ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! A professor at UC Davis named Morey Fowler became interested in this and wondered how it would work on horses and started testing it. Dr. Fowler was at one time the head vet at Tevis. A young vet named Kerry Ridgeway worked with him on this project helping to collect the data...........and as they say, the rest is history... ~ mb ridecamp.net information: http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/ ============================================================
