Desire to help others.

Not hooked on gadgets, but not afraid of them either.

Have successfully completed at least a handful of LD / 50's.  

Anyone else wish to add to this??

Sure - patience and not being dogmatic. You can't teach people what it took
you years to learn overnight. There's also more than one way to do things,
and I find that students (regardless of topic) often teach the teacher -
even if it is just that explaining what you do makes you think about it
more.
