[RC] animals and rat poison - A. PerezPLEASE! If you ever suspect that your pet has gotten into rat poison, get it to the vet immediately: don't 'keep and eye on it for a few days': the most common rat poison is Worfan (sp?) which causes internal hemoraging. Large does of vitamin K, IF GIVEN IN TIME, can save a pets life - but it has to be given quickly. I just lost my beloved Australian shepherd (Harley = Harley Barley Pupily Pie = Harley-Q-Buster Pup = Buddy Boy....) on Friday. What we thought was belly bloating due to indigestion turned out to be massive hemoraging due to a ruptured tumor. Once in surgery, they saw the cancer had infiltrated the liver, and there was no hope. We are heart-broken: he was a tremendous dog. Had we waited another day (which I almost did) he would have bled to death - not a nice way to go. Please - if you love your dog, don't hesitate to get to a vet! ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
