Re: [RC] Bell boots - Chris PausBoy, I just hate to use bell boots or any kind of boots on my horse. They get hot, they fill up with water and dirt, and I've had a nasty accident because of bell boots! I was riding my horse on a wooded trail, when all of a sudden he pitched forward. He tried to regain his balance, but pitched forward again and I rolled over his neck... When I got up, I realized what happened... His bell boot had snagged on a tree root, stopping his forward motion. The boot didn't give, so Star went down. We are very lucky that neither of us was hurt, just scared. I won't use anything like that on the trail again... chris --- Angela Lewis <amccorkle@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I was wondering if anyone could tell me which bell boot or combo type boot they prefer. I have a mare that I use splint boots on but now I am noticing she is some how dinging the front of her foot too, so now I guess I need to add a bell boot type of protection.
