[RC] Horse names - Kristi SchaafI agree with Lysane - a name that matches the horse's personality is the way to go, if you can find the right fit. We bought a bay 1/2 Arab a few years ago and his name was Patch. Of course, everyone thought that was the dumbest name for a bay horse (that's a PAINT horse name, they'd say). But, his previous owner had seen the movie Patch Adams, and she couldn't believe how alike the personalities of the human Patch Adams and her horse were (ie very funny but also very stubborn and belligerent), so that's what she named him. After we found out why she named him that (and watched the movie to see it for ourselves and completely agreed), we just jazzed the name up a little bit when we registered him (Apatchee Adams).
