[RC] what type of bridle? - Jonni Jewell

Trail bridle preferences vary from rider to rider. If you want to very
easily remove the bit, leaving a halter on for the horse to eat and drink,
look for one that you can do so with ease. If you don't see that you need to
remove the bit really easy, and maybe only if the horse needed to be ponied,
trailered etc., then you might look for a halter/bridle that the bit can be
removed, but not as easy as with snaps.

Personally, I like the separate headstall section, from the halter part.
With a bit, it is not real easy with some horses, to get the bit back on,
with just those short bit hangers, and not the full headstall. I really,
like the beta biothane. Softer than the old biothane, but fun colors, and
easy to clean. In the past, I used mostly nylon. Go to a ride, and look at
bridles at the vendors, and bridles on the horses. Watch at a vet check how
easy they are for riders to slip on and off. Then go shopping!
