pretty important.  I only blanket when the horses are restricted in 
travel, like at rides.

My favorite blanket of all time is Classic Coverups Storm Cruiser.  
Great fit, my horse likes it (we discuss whether it's necessary before 
using, and she prefers it over our others) waterproof and durable.  
Color doesn't matter, in blankets.
