[RC] gps again!! - Vicki Austin

I finally got a chance to try out my new "watch" gps
system from Timex.  It was accarate to less than 1/2
mile in 20 miles.   Is this common for this type of
gps.   I tried a hand held one last year and it was
off by almost a mile in ten.

Anyway hoping it was not a fluke and will be trying it
on several premeasured "with a car" rides before I
trust it to measure a trail. And then can ajust the
milage acordingly. 

I was amazed that when I turned it on the second time
(in a tack room with windows) that it found satalites
within one minute and the red flashing light turned to
a green flashing light!!!!   I love this thing.

I tried to put it on my helmit like was recomended on
RC but it bounced around and drove me nuts so I put it
on my upper arm and it was just fine.

Let me know if others have had the same experiance.
